On Sunday 22 June 2025, Golf Sainte Baume had the pleasure of organising the first edition of the Nans-les-Pins Open – Special Club Festival.

More than 100 participants, including keen golfers, curious beginners and enthusiastic visitors, turned out for a festive, friendly day of local discovery and sharing.

The day marked an important milestone in the life of the club and in the dynamics of golf in the Var. Combining sporting competition, local tastings, partner stands, entertainment and a free introduction to golf, the event attracted a large audience and illustrated the friendly spirit for which Golf Sainte Baume is renowned.

An accessible and unifying competition

In the early hours of the morning, the fairways of Golf Sainte Baume in Nans-les-Pins came alive with the arrival of the participants, who had been welcomed to the club house for a breakfast generously donated by our partner Renault Brignoles. It was the perfect opportunity to get the day off to a gentle start, while sharing the first strategies with friends and club members.

The competition, which was open to all levels, took place in a relaxed but committed atmosphere, with players praising the quality of the course, which they said was perfectly maintained despite the high temperatures on this first day of summer. The players were able to take advantage of the exceptional setting of the Sainte-Baume, between the pine forest and the garrigue, with the added bonus of a few surprises on the course…

A village of exhibitors at the heart of the event

This special edition was distinguished by the presence of several exhibitors and partners, scattered throughout the 18-hole course.

  • The Renault Brignoles stand, in addition to offering breakfast, showcased several models of electric vehicles, underlining the commitment of the club and its partners to more responsible mobility.
  • The SNIPE Nuisibles stand gave visitors the chance to find out more about the identification and management of so-called harmful species, a subject at the heart of the concerns of Golf Sainte Baume, which is already committed to an eco-responsible approach.
  • Loluli Créations, a customised textile stand, offered a selection of items bearing the image of the golf course, much appreciated by members for its originality.

The Pôle Immo de Nans-les-Pins had an interactive stand with quizzes, competitions and prizes to be won, creating a dynamic and participative atmosphere.

Local produce in the spotlight

Because a successful event at Golf Sainte Baume can’t be held without a touch of Provençal gastronomy, there were several highlights to showcase the region’s products:

A tasting of the wines of the Sainte Baume, offered throughout the day, delighted wine-lovers.

Yohann, the local beekeeper and partner of the club in its biodiversity initiative (beehives installed on the estate), presented his different varieties of honey harvested near the golf course.

These tastings helped to strengthen the link between golf and the region, and to promote local producers who are committed to working alongside the club.

Introduction to golf: the curious fall for it

The event also included a free introduction to golf, with registration required. Several beginners were able to discover the pleasure of hitting their first balls under the guidance of the Golf Sainte Baume teaching team.

It was a great way of democratising golf in the Var, and showing that golf is a sport that is accessible to all, in a natural setting conducive to relaxation, well-being and the pleasure of the game.

A musical cocktail and a moment of sharing

After the prize-giving ceremony, the atmosphere continued with a cocktail reception featuring music, a generous buffet and plenty of entertainment.

A prize draw gave many participants the chance to win prizes donated by the club’s partners. The whole day unfolded in a festive, intergenerational atmosphere, resolutely open to all.

An eco-responsible, forward-looking golf course

Beyond the event itself, the day served as a reminder of the Golf Sainte Baume’s commitment to sustainable development, the preservation of biodiversity and its openness to the region.

With its wildlife refuge areas, its beehives installed in partnership with a local beekeeper, and its rational water management, Golf Sainte Baume is a responsible player in green tourism in Provence.

Thank you to everyone who took part!

Golf Sainte Baume would like to extend its warmest thanks to all the golfers, exhibitors, partners, volunteers and visitors who made the day a collective success.

The Open de Nans-les-Pins – Spécial Fête du Club has become a not-to-be-missed festive event, combining competition, local produce, nature and conviviality in the heart of green Provence.
